FAQs

  • What type of therapy do you practice?

  • I practice mostly psychodynamic therapy and incorporate CBT and DBT when appropriate.

  • What insurance do you take?

    I accept the following insurances:

    • Aetna (NY, PA, TX)

    • Optum/Oscar/Oxford/United Healthcare (NY only)

Once you inquire, the Headway or Alma team will help determine what your cost will be. This will all be done prior to the first session.

  • How much does therapy cost?

My fee is $225 without insurance. I do offer sliding scale options for clients who are unable to afford the full rate. Please inquire further. If you don’t have the insurances I listed above, you may still be able to get money back from your insurance through out of network benefits.

  • How do I determine if my insurance covers out-of-network therapy?

To determine if your insurance covers out-of-network therapy, you can review your insurance policy or contact your insurance provider directly. Ask them about your out-of-network mental health benefits, including the reimbursement rates and any requirements, such as obtaining prior-authorization or meeting a deductible.

  • How much will I have to pay for out-of-network therapy?

You will be responsible for the full rate of a session and then afterward, you can submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement, which may cover up to 100% of the fee based on your out-of-network benefits.

  • What states are you licensed in?

I am licensed in New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
